DEEPAK NARAIN

Namaskaram. I am Deepak Narain, a History and Geography teacher with more than two decades of experience educating secondary school students in diverse classroom settings. I am also the Head of Department for Social Science, History and Geography.

I am passionate about helping students understand the complexities of the past and the dynamics of the world today through engaging and interdisciplinary lessons. I believe that understanding history and geography empowers students to become informed global citizens.

My teaching aims to foster curiosity, analytical thinking, and an appreciation for diversity and interconnectedness. I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages debate, inquiry, and respect for different perspectives. I believe in fostering curiosity about the world—past and present—so students can become informed, empathetic, and responsible global citizens. Department of Social Sciences does not only offer academic subjects but those that are essential for understanding who we are, where we come from, and how we shape the future.
